Division Overview:

 

Patrol Division:

·        Roving patrol, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in radio equipped vehicles

·        Patrol Officers are all certified under PA ACT 235 and are armed.

·        Patrol Supervisors and some Patrol Officers are certified under PA ACT 120 and are empowered by the Pike County Court of Common Pleas as Police or Peace Officers.

·        Patrol Officers are required to become State Certified First Responders or EMT’S within One (1) Year of employment

 

Dispatch:

·        Communications Center staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

·        Utilizes a modern VHF radio repeater system for reliable communications with Patrol

·        Residents can contact a dispatcher via phone, fax, TTY.  Currently, there are a total of seven (7) phone & data lines.

·        Monitor Pike County Emergency and State Police Frequencies for advance warning of conditions which may affect the community.

·        Utilize Hi-Speed Internet Connection to access up to the minute weather information

·        Equipped with emergency lighting and AC generator to power critical equipment in case of power failure.

·        Dispatchers are all trained in Hemlock Farms Policies and Procedures, radio codes,  emergency procedures, and customer service skills.

·        Full-Time Dispatchers are nationally certified Emergency Police Dispatchers.

 

Gates:

·        Three (3) Access Gates control entry of vehicles into Hemlock Farms

·        739 and 402 gates are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

·        Gate Officers are all trained in Hemlock Farms Policies and Procedures and customer service skills.

·        Extra staffing is provided to speed visitor entry during Holidays, special events,  and other times in which heavy traffic is anticipated.
