your enjoyment! Workshops
– Classes Advanced Wheel Throwing – Tom Neugebauer Refine throwing skills on the wheel. This course
is for those that have previous wheel throwing experience. Tom will be teaching the students how to make
and test glazes. Dates: Fridays, January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 19. Time:
8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Place: Art Chalet.
Fee: $130.00 per person. Ages 15 and over. Limited to six participants. Handbuilding with Clay – Joann Wells Greenbaum Handbuilding with clay is a fun way to be creative and make a functional piece of stoneware to be used and cherished! Joann is a “ hands on” instructor! She has plenty of ideas or will help you bring yours to fruition. Dates: Mondays, Jan. 11, 18, 25, Feb. 1. Time: 6:30 – 8:30p.m. Fee: $85.00 includes materials. Place Art Chalet by handball courts. Mommy/Daddy and Me, Play with Paint! - Kelly Stagen This class gives 2-4 years old children an opportunity to be introduced to the art world! The children
will be painting and messing up our space and not yours!!! Wear play clothes!
Moms/Dads, you too! Date: Wednesday, January 13. Place: Large Art
Room/Steerbarn Time: 10:30 – 11:15. Fee: $6.00. Jazz and Modern Dance Techniques – Adrienne Cordani Creative movements incorporating jazz, modern
dance and hip- hop geared to the younger student of dance. At the end of the
six week course, a recital will be performed by the students. Wear comfortable
clothing, ballet slippers, or other non-skid shoe or sneaker. Dates: Thursdays-
January 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18. Place: Steerbarn Auditorium Time:
6:15-7:00 p.m. Fee: $50.00 Discovering Kandinsky! Ages 7 – 10 – Kelly Stagen Lets learn about abstract art!.

Time: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Place: Pottery Room/Steer
Barn. Fee: $35.00 includes materials. Pottery Class – Using the Potter’s Wheel – Ongoing Wheel - Amy Strapec This class is for students who have already taken
the beginner course. We will continue to work on throwing techniques and make
functional stoneware. Dates: February 3,10,17,24, March3,10.
Time: 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. Place: Art Chalet. Fee: $120.00. Kid’s Pottery Class – Amy Strapec The students will create a free form sculpture and
give the potter’s wheel a try! This class is for ages 6 – 10. Dates: Saturdays, March 6,13,27.
Time: 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Place: Art Chalet. Fee: $50.00 materials included. Wear
play clothes. Ukrainian Egg Workshop – Carol Rick These are a traditional craft in the Ukraine, with a history of thousands of years. The method is similar to batik-patterns are drawn on the egg with wax, which then protects the covered areas from the dye that is applied. By repeating this process with different colors of dye, a multi-colored pattern s built up. Finally, the wax is removed to reveal the colors that were covered up at each stage.. Bring home your own pysanka and the knowledge to make more. Date: Saturday, March 20. Time: 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Fee: $20.00 Materials included but if you have tapered candle stubs, bring them along. Please bring a bagged lunch and drink. Place: Large Art Room/Clubhouse Beginner Pottery Course – Amy Strapec Contemplation, fusion of mind and body, the peace
and serenity of a spinning wheel…Whoops! There goes the clay all over! It takes
some practice but once you get started, it is something you won’t forget! Join
this beginner pottery course and get your hands in the mud! Dates: Saturdays,
May 1, 8, 15, 22 .Time: 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Fee: $95.00.
Ages: 15 and over. Limited to six students. Beginner Photography Workshop! – Daniel Lanton This course is for the beginning photographer. More details to follow. Date: Sunday, April 18 Time: 12:00 – 5:00. Fee: $85.00. Place: Clubhouse auditorium. Although this course will be based on DSLR cameras, Daniel will be covering composition, framing shots etc. You can check out Daniels photography at www.darkershadesofbrown.com Workshop Fees vary depending on

– Wednesdays. This is a “day
on your own”. See a play, visit a museum or just stroll around the Big Apple.
Sign-up deadline is two weeks before the trip date. Fee: $28.00 per person. Leaving

THURSDAY, MARCH 25. Giancarlo Guerrero – conductor. Olga Kern- piano RACHMANINOFF Piano Concerto No. 3. TCHAIKOVSKY Symphony No. 4. The bus leave Hemlock at 9:30 a.m. and return approx. 6:00 p.m. Unop arrival we will have box lunch in the private Upper Rotunda of the PAC. NJSO musicians will join us for lunch to talk about the orchestra and answer questions. During intermission, the NJSO will invite us to a private reception where we will have the opportunity to enjoy a complementary glass of wine or bottled water. We have secured 25 A tickets for this concert. The all inclusive price is only $96.00. There is a $5.00 discount per person if pre-paid in full by February 1. performing some Motown, 50’s, 60’s, Rock n Roll and more! December 5
– Bach and Brahms! Wesley Tudor on Cello and Stephen Faubel on Piano, classically
trained faculty from the Black Bear Conservatory in Hawley will perform this
winter evening concert! January 16
– Marc von em! Marc von em is currently on tour with Rob Thomas. His
performance here in Hemlock will include his own music with a hint of James
Taylor and Marc can also belt out the blues! Come and listen to this fabulous

and 4th Monday of each month. Place:
